The counselling approach is based on the principles of humanistic psychology, which emphasizes the inherent worth and potential of every person. I believe that everyone has the ability to grow and change, given the right environment and support. Various techniques such as active listening, empathy, unconditional positive regard, goal setting, problem solving, cognitive restructuring, relaxation training, mindfulness meditation, and positive affirmations are used to help my clients to cope with their challenges and achieve their goals.

Every client is treated as a unique individual with their own strengths and weakness. Counselling sessions are according to the specific situation and preferences for each client. I also respect the cultural and religious backgrounds of my clients, and do not impose my own values or beliefs on them.

God's Blessings come as Surprises. Blessed to have born and brought up by my Parents, Late Chandra Varma Thampan and Malathy Kunjamma in a Middle Class Family in Kodungallur. Graduated from St. Joseph's College in Zoology, did B.Ed and M.Ed. with Guidance and Counselling was Optional Subject. Got married to Adv. A.S.Rajendran Nair [ In Kerala Highcourt, at present and Patent attorney ], shifted to Belgaum District of Karnataka and from there to Mumbai. During the Life in Mumbai about 20 years, worked as a High School Teacher in Maths and Science. Along with the profession , I could do School Counsellor's Course, M.Sc Psychology and an International Commonwealth Diploma in 'Youth in Development'. Won 'Best Teacher Award' thrice. Returned to Kerala and settled here in 2008 and continued the Profession as Principal in Charge and Professor in Educational Psychology in a B.Ed. College. During this period of 10 years, did M.Sc in Counselling and Family Therapy and M.Phil in Counselling Psychology.

Started "Disha" Counselling Centre at home, and Conducting Awareness programs Teacher development programs, Counselling Sessions, Motivation classes, Parenting Sessions etc. Till Date. Blessed to have an Opportunity to be a Psychology Professor for P.G classes in St. Joseph's College Irinjalakuda.

Learned Classical Music and Violin along with my Passion in Teaching & Learning, and Organizing Various Programs. These Experiences inspired to have a Ph.D. to Help Me to Help Others in Profession and Life.
